Let us tell you a little more about who we are, and why we love what we do.
Duane Royer is a second generation piano merchant who began his career working in his father’s piano business. He learned many lessons from his father, and those early lessons helped develop Duane’s business motto: “At all times do exactly as you say you will do, and pledge to give the best customer satisfaction.” Duane’s mother was a piano teacher, and her lessons were no less important: “Learn to play the piano, and you have a gift that lasts a lifetime.” A fine musician, Duane uses his talents every Sunday as the head of Contemporary Music, and also regularly helps with other local churches that need a hand.
Charlie Hunt is also a second generation music merchant and the son of a piano teacher. He has a passion for the piano, and a desire to bring music into the home of every family in Tampa Bay. Charlie knows that everyone can play the piano and can enjoy music no matter what age. Charlie grew up in a musical family, as his father owned a piano store (and was a professional saxophone player), and his mother is a piano teacher, (who, at 80 years old, still has a full studio). Charlie’s family all play the piano- his sister in Texas is a piano teacher, and his brother teaches jazz piano at the Berklee School of Music in Boston.
Jonathan Hunt is a third generation music merchant and has grown up surrounded by all things musical. Jonathan’s degree in marketing and skills with social media have helped The Music Gallery grow and adapt in the modern age. Jonathan has been instrumental in forging new relationships with the music community and loves working with the St. Petersburg Opera, USF, and the Music Teacher’s Assoc., just to name a few.
